High School Is Confusion.Part I:   
       "Lucy! Where are my character concepts?! You said they'd be done by this afternoon!" Kat Talbot screamed. The twenty-six-year-old sprawled over the old cartooning desk looked up at her sleepily through grey eyes blurred with tiredness. She blinked, and looked out the window at her side. A setting sun winked back at her.         "Character concepts?" she repeated, confused. Then it all came rushing back, along with the realization of just how much trouble she was in. "Oh shite. I meant to have those done, didn't I?"

         Row by row, she walked through the immeasurable room. The silence was thick here, thick as the dust on the shelves, smothering everything in a comforting blanket of soft oblivion and forgetfulness.  He pitied her, he really did. To her credit, she sat through the entirety of what he assumed was a harrowing experience for her – pretending an absolute stranger was her date and/or lover – without a false move to her name, flawless public smile pasted in place for the benefit of the various dignitaries and VVIPs.

        It was out there somewhere in the driving rain. The Pursuer. I panted and pressed my back harder against the rocky wall of the cave, jutting stones digging into my spine. Lighting whip-cracked outside, beyond the almost solid sheet of water pouring down off the lip off the cave entrance. The brief flash lit up the Summer Of Storms Ch.1

Sorry guys, no updates any time soon! I'm in New Zealand for another two and a half weeks, and the laptop I hav (because SOMEBODY wouldn't let me bring my own... *ominous look sideways*) won't recognise the disk I have all my stories on. This unfoprtunately means I can neither work on nor post anything for the next oh, say month? Nah, actually I'll be back home on the 13th od December, but until then: HIATUS. I know. That word.
Trust me, I wish there was another way; being shut up in a van like this for another week and a half (then we're hiking - or rather, 'tramping';) without a laptop of anytyhing constructive to do, is killing me. And I can't wokr on them analogue style because I've already started work on most of the following chapters and I don't want to stuff up that work.

So sorry, y'all. Until then, adios; I'm going to down another margharita and hope for the best. ALso, I need to update my travel journal Valentine. :)
